Ageing Process Print E-mail

In the ageing of Chateau Robin we want to compose an elegant, structured and balanced wine. It requires our daily attention and we continue to improve our knowledge and skills every year. Generally, 50% of our wine is aged in oak  barrels 12 months (One third new, second third one wine and last third 2 wines), and 50% of the remaining wine will age in concrete tanks. We mainly use French oak but we also use American oak depending on the vintages (> Click here to see details in our technical sheets by vintage).

The different lots after ageing are tasted and carefully blended for the creation of Chateau Robin.

It takes thus three years to process one bottle of wine, one year in the cellar and two years in the cellar.
