The thirty acres of Chateau Robin’s vineyards are all in one piece and include the “processing” cellar, barrels and bottles cellar, as well as the barn where materials are stored. The “processing” cellar is equipped with 10 concrete tanks from 54 to 107 hectolitres (1 hectolitre = 100 litres) and one stainless steel tank of 206 hectolitres, all temperature controlled.
The barrel cellar can hold 150 barrels of 225 litres and 120,000 bottles of wine can be stored in the bottle cellar. The wooden barrels are used for three years and one-third of them are replaced each year, depending upon the volume of the harvest. All of the bottling and packing of wine in cartons and wood boxes is done at the Chateau, with the bottles being cleaned and dried before labelling.
A professional contractor comes to Chateau Robin once a year with equipment and a team that manages the bottling. All of the equipment required for the operation of a vineyard: tractor, trimmer, sprayer, tools for working the soil, trailers and other implements are owned by the estate. The material for receiving the harvest - sorting table, de-stemmer, crusher and pump are similarly owned by the estate.
